Department of Health (DOH) conducted school - based immunization program with the help of city health workers last August.

DOH assured the public that they used vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), are safe, effective and used worldwide.

Health Secretary Janette Garin said that immunization program will give lifetime immunity against tetanus.

Grade one pupils were given a shot of tetanus-diphteria (TD) vaccine.

“Parang kagat lang ‘to ng langgam,” said the health workers as they gave injection to pupils.
