9 delegates to compete in 2013 RSPC

             After winning in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) last October 10, 11 and 13, nine scribes of Tenejero Elementary School (TES) will compete in the 2013 Central Luzon Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), slated November 28-29, 2013 in Fontana, Angeles City.

                The DSPC which aims to promote responsible journalism is an annual gathering of student journalists in the Division of Balanga. It serves as a venue to select three best student journalists in different categories–both in English and Filipino in the upcoming RSPC.

                The delegates are Chelsie Gail Espuelas – 1st place in News Writing (English); Maicho Cuaresma –(1st ) Best Anchor; Jeremy Talastas- (1st) Best News Presenter; Jasper Fontanilla- (1st) Best in Technical Application; Krista Allysa Espuelas and Angelica Faith Tuason-(3rd) Best in Infomercial; Harvey Champs Aguila- 3rd place in Pagsulat ng Balitang Isports; John David Garcia-4th place in Editorial Writing(English);Carlos Ervin Reyes- 4th place in Photojournalism (English); Jara Denise Tuazon – 5th place in Copyreading and Headline Writing (English); Mariel Replan- 5th place in Sports Writing (English); and Mary Rose Nazareno-5th place in Feature Writing(English). The radio broadcasters mentioned above together with Katherine Kelly Festijo and Hanna Grace Castro (Scriptwriters), bagged the overall champion in Scriptwriting and Radio Broadcasting Filipino.


           The nine student journalists will be part of more than two hundred student delegates of the Division of City of Balanga. RSPC is one of the biggest student competitions sponsored by the Department of Education with more than 1000 students participating from various provinces and cities in Central Luzon. The top three winners of RSPC will then be joining the Central Luzon delegates in this school year’s National Schools Press Conference slated early 2014.
