To maintain the health of every Balangueño in the City, a synchronized Mass Deworming was observed in all schools in the City of Balanga last September 3.

A total of 1,039 school children from grades I to VI and 36 teaching and non-teaching personnel in TES were dewormed.  Headed by the principal, Ms. Ellen Macaraeg, the deworming started at 8:30 am.  Everybody were instructed to take Albendazole, caplet for deworming, issued by Balanga City Health Office.  A short orientation about the importance of deworming and proper hygiene was given by the Barangay Nutrition Committee, lead by Mrs. Rosa Reina with Mrs. Remely Tigas, Mrs. Gloria Pangon and Mrs. Luisa Panganiban, Barangay Health Workers.

This project aims to decrease the number of malnourished children and increase their performance in school.
