Comelec-COB starts BEI training By: Kurt Neil Pocallan

           The Commission on Elections (Comelec)-City of Balanga (COB) has started the training for teachers who will be serving in the May 9 national automated polls to acquaint them with the Vote Counting Machines (VCM).

           Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) consist mostly of public school teachers attended the two day training which includes discussions on the general instructions and rules on   elections, parts and functions of the VCM given by Comelec, written     examination and actual use of the   machine facilitated by the provincial office of the Department of Science and    Technology (DOST).

After the training, each of the teachers or BEIs was certified by   representatives from the DOST, as technologically capable to use the   machines. 

Teachers from Tenejero       Elementary School successfully passed the said written and practical examination given to them.

“We are now ready for the    upcoming elections.  We will serve to the best of our ability and we’re going to make sure that this will be an    honest and clean election,” said      Ms. Edeliza Manalaysay,                TES     teacher.
