TES conducts earthquake drill By Jamaica Garcia

    Awareness of school children on what to do before, during and after an earthquake is the best lesson the simultaneous earthquake drill left to pupils, teaching and non-teaching staff of Tenejero Elementary Schools as they participated in the said event which also taught them preparedness for the threat of this natural phenomenon.

    Proper orientation was given to pupils and teachers before the drill. Participants did the duck, cover and hold and hid under their desks and armchairs. They went out of their classrooms to go to their respective evacuation areas.

    School junior rescuers conducted a simulation of rescuing wounded victims and performed first aid treatments.

    Mr. Salvador Isip, member of the evaluation team said that the drill was successfully carried out by the participants.

    UNTV documented the said activity and did some interviews to pupils, teachers and principal.
