Every year Tenejero Elementary School never fails to join in the celebration of Nutrition Month.  In line with this year’s theme, “Ang batang walang kuto, tutok sa pagkatuto dahil nutrisyon ay kumpleto”, the school conducted activities that aimed to decrease the prevalence rate of pediculosis (head lice) among school children, enhance the academic performance of pupils and educate the pupils about proper grooming and hygiene.  Among the activities accomplished were shampooing selected pupils who have pediculosis and lecture on proper grooming to both parents which are led by nurses from the Division of City of Balanga.

Other activities done were slogan and poster making that was participated by grades three to four pupils.  Mother and Child Cook Fest was also held last July 26, which highlighted ‘malunggay’ as the main ingredient in every dish.

Such activities done by the pupils helped the teachers to emphasize the importance of proper hygiene and good grooming as well as the value of good nutrition.
