NOVEMBER 2015
November had been a very busy month for Tenejero Elementary School. Different activities were undertaken to culminate the celebrations for this month. These were the following: 1. Girl Scout of the Philippines (GSP) Provincial Encampment On November 4 to 7, ten girl scouts from our school joined the GSP Provincial Encampment held at Stella Mariz Resort, Bagac, Bataan. The young scouts actively participated in varied and fun-filled activities and fortunately, bagged awards in different categories. 2. National Environmental Awareness Month Celebration Brigada Kalinisan, led by Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) and School-Dengue Action Response Team (SDART) was conducted on November 5 to promote cleanliness in and out of the school. Paper Folding Contest, participated by kindergarten to grade six pupils was also carried out to encourage pupils recycle used paper and make it a more useful project or output. The winners for the primary level were Carl Andrei Soriano, John Daniel Camacho while Marcelino Espinosa, Leslie Mara Ruiz and Sophia Jiecel Ramirez were the intermediate level winners. Meanwhile, teachers, pupils and parents show their creativity as they make their designated parts as an eco-friendly area using recyclable materials. The result for the Search for Most Eco-Friendly Area will be announced on December. 3. Parent Ko Yan, Anak Ko Yan Parent Ko Yan, Anak Ko Yan is fund-raising project, initiated by General Parent-Teacher Association (GPTA) through the help of YES-O and Supreme Pupil Government (SPG). A talent portion joined by the candidates was held on November 16. While on November 18, a foot parade around the community and coronation day was conducted. Also in line with National Environmental Awareness Month Celebration, candidates, wearing their creative costumes made from recyclable materials, competed in the most awaited portion of the program, the Eco-Rampa. The winners were as follows: · Bea Bianca Lazo-Best in Talent, Darling of the Crowd, Best in Creative Costume · Terrence Jerald Taguiam- Best in Creative Costume-1st runner up · Anthon Zham Pangilinan- Best in Creative Costume-2nd runner up · Venus Irish Lagrimas-Best in Talent-1st runner up · John Daniel Camacho-Best in Talent-2nd runner up · Viah Erich Julaton-Best in Talent-3rd runner up · Mark Dondon Nava-Best in Talent-4th runner up · Bea Bianca Lazo and Mrs. Jonalyn Lazo - Parent Ko Yan, Anak Ko Yan-2nd runner up, Most Eco-Friendly · John Daniel Camacho-Most Eco-Friendly-2nd runner up · Catherine Noelle Bergantinos-Parent Ko Yan, Anak Ko Yan-1st runner up · Krissa Flores and Cherrielyn Flores -Parent Ko Yan, Anak Ko Yan 2015 and Most Eco-Friendly-1st runner up 4. Kinder Festival of Talents The kindergarten pupils showcased their talents in the District and Division Kinder Festival of Talents held on November 11 and 12 respectively. TES pupils won some awards: First Place in Chamber Theater and Second Place in Creative Dance in the district level and Third Place in Creative Dance in the division level. 5. Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week Celebration To make the school children be aware of the dangerous effects of drug abuse, Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week was observed from November 15 to 21. Essay writing, slogan and poster-making contests were conducted to promote the advocacy of this campaign. Teachers also integrate this topic to appropriate subject areas. 6. National Reading Month Celebration On November 27, a simultaneous reading was participated by all pupils from kinder to grade six. This aims to inculcate the love for reading as well as enhance their skills and comprehension. Teachers also assign little teachers to lead the reading of their respective classes. 7. Awarding of Huwarang Mag-aaral Huwarang Mag-aaral from kinder to grade six were awarded on November 27, 2015. |

Month of September 2015
September is a month of Celebrations and lots of Fun in Tenejero Elementary School. It is said that September is a month of celebrations because the Training on Early Language, Literacy and Numeracy for Kindergarten to Grade 3 Teachers with T. Camacho Elementary School started . This will last up to October 30,2015. In this training teachers were taught the proper way of teaching reading, language and numeracy using the explicit method. This training was headed by our hardworking Principal, Mrs. Agnes O. Magdalera, Mrs. Cita C. Merla, Master Teacher of Tenejero ES and Ms. Kristine M. Seril of T. Camacho Elementary School. The National Teachers Month celebration begins last September 7 . As part of the celebration, Grade Two teachers initiated the following contest and activities such as “Especially for You” a card making contest, “Dear Ma’am” a letter writing contest and “Love Kita Ma’am“ flower offering for teacher. Through these activities, teachers’ dedication towards their works and love for children were recognized and appreciated by their pupils and parents. It is a month of Fun because our Grade 2 to 6 pupils participated the MILO Champ Moves last September 10, 2015. The activity was designed to build among elementary pupils the interest in sports, good nutrition and physical fitness to help them become the best they can be. Another activity that makes September a month of Fun is the celebration of Family Day last September 24, 2015. Different enjoyable activities were done like the Zumba Dance for All of the GPTA officer headed by our GPTA Pres. Mr. Erwin Oximoso, Family Dance Contest, lots of Games together with the KFC Mascot. Family of Grade 3 and Grade 6 merge as the Champion in the Family Dance Contest. In addition, birthday celebration of teachers were also part of the lots of fun activities of the month of September 2015. It was indeed full of surprises, gifts and sweet massages from their loving teachers. It is also fun to say that some of our KABscouts together with their Parents joined the 3rd Regional KAB-O-REE held in Dinalupihan,Bataan last Sept 24 t0 September 28, 2015. They enjoyed so much the different games and activities that make it more meaningful and unforgettable experience for them. Another highlight for this month is the Search for the Best Classroom, which is judged by the Division Monitoring Team. |

“ Ang di-magmahal sa sariling wika, Ay higit pa sa hayop at malansang isda. “ Ang wika ay maituturing na yaman ng bansa. Kung ang mga mamamayan ay magmamahal sa sariling wika, magiging daan ito upang maging maunlad an gating bayan. Tuwing Agosto ating ipinagdiriwang ang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa. Ngayong taon ito ang tema ng “ FILIPINO, WIKA NG PAMBANSANG KAUNLARAN “ Layunin nito ang pahalagahan ang Wikang Pambansa n gating mga kabataan. Upang ipakita ang pakikiisa, ang Tenejero Elementary School ay nagsagawa ng paligsahan sa pagtula mula sa Unang Baitang hanggang Ika-anim na Baitang. Ang mga piling mag-aaral ay nagtagisan ng bgaling sa pagtula noong ika-27, 2015 ng Agosto na ginanap sa AVR ng paaralan. Isinunod din ang paggawad ng Sertipiko ng Pagkikilahok noong ika-28 ng Agosto. Teachers’ Day celebrated at TES By: Jara Denise Tuazon
To show appreciation for TES teachers, a weeklong celebration was conducted last October 1 to 4.
On the first day, pupils made greeting cards and Thank You letters for their teachers. Best greeting cards and letters were given prizes. To maintain physical fitness and prevent illness, teachers joined aerobics lesson led by an instructor on the second day. While on the third day, pupils honor their teachers by giving flowers, simple gifts and letters. A sharing and reflection of teaching experiences was conducted in the afternoon. On October 4, a Division Celebration of Teachers’ Day was held in Doña Emiliana Hall, Garcia Compound, Tenejero. Outstanding teachers: Ms. Edeliza Manalaysay-Teacher I, Mrs. Vivian Roa-Teacher II, Mrs. Rebecca Dayrit-Teacher III, Mrs. Lailani Sison-Master Teacher I, and Mrs. Cita Merla-Master Teacher II, were recognized during the program. In the afternoon, TES teachers held a party in the school which was really enjoyed by everyone. |
Family Day conducted at TES By: Carlos Ervin Reyes
To strengthen the bonds between the members of the family, Tenejero Elementary School held a Family Day last September 27.
The mentioned celebration was attended by kinder to grade six pupils together with their parents. Fun-filled games were conducted for everyone to enjoy the day. There were also singing contest for the pupils and the parents as well. Special numbers were presented by selected pupils from grade one. It was an enjoyable day for everyone who attended the activity.

Buwan ng Wika commemorated at TES By: Jasper Fontanilla
To re-awaken the pupils’ nationalism and patriotism, Tenejero Elementary School held a Buwan ng Wika Program last August 29. In line with this month’s theme “Wika Natin ang Daang Matuwid”, TES conducted activities such as interpretative dance contest participated by kindergarten pupils, poem reciting contest for grades one to three pupils and singing contest for grades four to six. Winners in different categories were awarded and given certificates of recognition. This celebration headed by kindergarten and floating teachers was indeed a successful one.

TES celebrates Nutrition Month By: Maicho Cuaresma
In line with Nutrition Month Celebration, Tenejero Elementary School focused on this year’s theme, “Gutom at Malnutrisyon, sama-sama nating wakasan”
Activities that highlight the importance of good health and nutrition were undertaken. Such activities were Quiz Bee, Slogan and Poster Making Contest, Cook Fest, A-1 Child and Essay Writing Contest. This month celebration was culminated by a program held on July 31. Special numbers of pupils highlighted the event. Winners in different contests were awarded certificates of recognition by the principal, Miss Ellen Macaraeg assisted by Mr. Rocky Solomon and Grade VI teachers who were in-charge of this month celebration.

TES celebrates Family Fun Day By: Patricia Nicolai Iluis
To strengthen the bonds between the members of the family, Tenejero Elementary School held a Family Fun Day last September 21.
The Family Day was attended by kinder to grade six pupils together with their parents. A Dance Contest was participated by group of pupils and parents from each grade level. Grade one group and grade six parent and child tandem bagged the first place in primary and intermediate category, respectively. Fun-filled games were also conducted for everyone to enjoy the day. Families, who served as a good role model for other families in the community, were recognized. It was indeed an enjoyable day for everyone who attended the activity.

TES celebrates Nutrition Month By: Aaliyah Gae Pryncee Joco
Every year Tenejero Elementary School never fails to join in the celebration of Nutrition Month. In line with this year’s theme, “Ang batang walang kuto, tutok sa pagkatuto dahil nutrisyon ay kumpleto”, the school conducted activities that aimed to decrease the prevalence rate of pediculosis (head lice) among school children, enhance the academic performance of pupils and educate the pupils about proper grooming and hygiene. Among the activities accomplished were shampooing selected pupils who have pediculosis and lecture on proper grooming to both parents which are led by nurses from the Division of City of Balanga. Other activities done were slogan and poster making that was participated by grades three to four pupils. Mother and Child Cook Fest was also held last July 26, which highlighted ‘malunggay’ as the main ingredient in every dish. Such activities done by the pupils helped the teachers to emphasize the importance of proper hygiene and good grooming as well as the value of good nutrition.
